As Dancing made a thread for items to bring.I would like to make mention to never drive with your sugar gliders (or other animals) loose in the car. They could be injured by you or if there is an accident.Alsocould become a distraction while driving. For example getting an unexpected facehug while driving-could be very dangerous or fatal....
SO please keep your pets in a carrier, travel cage or, bonding pouch while driving in a vechicle.

Can I add this, please have your gliders in a carrier that is safely buckled into a seatbelt. If you need to stop suddenly, anything that is not buckled down can become a projectile and we wouldnt want to see a glider cage go crashing through a window, or worse into your or your passengers heads.
Gliders tend to travel better in the day time when they are normally tucked safely into a pouch sleeping. I find that in the evening my gliders want to get up and play, and the lights from passing cars can cause anxiety at the least. (please see Dancings post below, as some gliders do travel better than others)
Have a water bottle ready, and fruit makes a great way to keep your glider hydrated. Offer juice, water or fruit every chance you get. I do this each hour. Another great way to get your glider a drink is to offer a drop or two of bottled water right in the lid of the bottle.
Make sure you NEVER leave your gliders unattended, and keep gliders in a vented cage, in vented pouches. Remember how quickly a car can get hot, and it is just not worth it to take the chances with your babies.
Im sure there are many more, so please add whatefer I have missed, and have a SAFE Trip!

I had to once travel by night with some of my gliders. I have a mini van and their cages fit in the back of the van (nice big travel cages full of their favorite things). I covered each cage with a fleece blanket (so other car's headlights wouldn't disturb them). I put in their normal dinner and such and off we went. I was so worried how it was going to go but they all did great. They played with their toys and ran their wheels, ate their dinner and acted like they had no clue we were on the road.

Now this might not be the case for all gliders so please use caution if you have to travel at night. If your gliders seem to be getting stressed, make sure you find a hotel. Some gliders travel well, others do not.

Remember, another hazzard for them being loose in your car is they CAN get into your dash board. I had one escape from me and that is where she ran to first.
