Glider Sitter and Foster ContractFostering Contract
This contract between ____________(glider owner) and _____________(foster parent) is for the purpose of fostering sugar gliders. This contract is intended to serve as a legally binding contract.
I, (foster parent) have agreed to foster ___ number of gliders.
I (the foster parent) will provide the items they need to maintain a healthy life while in my care.
I (the foster parent) will take them to the vet if needed with the understanding that I will be reimbursed by the glider owner for the cost of the vet care.
I (the foster parent) will maintain their current diet of _____________ unless I first consult with the glider owner before I make any changes.
The glider owner agrees to help in the financial care of her gliders at the rate of $______per month per glider. This is to help provide the food the gliders will need.
The glider owner agrees to provide a vet health certificate to the foster parent if requested.
The glider owner agrees to reimburse the foster parent for any emergency vet bills that may incur while the gliders are with the foster parent unless such bills are due to the foster parent’s own neglect.
All incurred costs must be paid to the foster parent prior to the return of the gliders into the owner’s care.
This fostering arrangement is for a period of ____ days/months beginning _____________and ending __________but can be terminated at anytime by either party however the foster parent must provide at least ____weeks notice so other arrangements can be made.
At the end of ____ days/months, the gliders must be picked up unless other arrangements have been worked out for them to remain longer.
If _________days/months time goes by without contact from the owner, or the gliders are not picked up on or before ____________without other arrangements being agreed upon, the gliders will be considered abandoned and will be placed up for adoption.
This contract also serves as a release of liability in the event of the death of any of the owner’s gliders. It also serves as a release of liability in the event of any bites or other injuries to humans or other gliders caused by the owner’s gliders while in the foster parent’s care. In the event that any criminal or civil suit is initiated over conflict with these gliders between the owner and the foster parent, all court costs and legal fees must be paid by the loosing party.
