Sugar gliders transported in cages get very stressed out. They often come out of their cage and feel very insecure when transported inside their cage in a vehicle. There is a very simple and practical solution to this that will not only make your sugar glider more comfortable but also ease your experience, and that is to use a transportation bucket.

Above is a picture of the bucket type that is appropriate for this. You will note that it is two buckets in one. The design of this maintains the environment in the inner bucket, even below zero, when used properly.
Proper use includes adding recycled paper bedding or aspen to the bucket and filling it about 1/2 full. The gliders will dig into the bedding and this will also give shock and noise absorption.
Becareful not to accidentally pick up the center buckets handle by mistake, if you do the bottom bucket will fall to the floor. The gliders are secured in the center bucket. If you remove the handles from the central bucket you comprimise the security of the bucket's lid and the gliders could escape.
You should only open the bucket in a glider proof room. Do not leave the gliders in the bucket overnight. Do not transport the gliders, unless it is an emergency at night.
With this system you will be able to transport more glider safely and with minimal disturbance.
I speak from experience when I say this is a proven system that has worked for me for over 6 years.
