Peggy Brewer (goes by the screen name Srlb on the boards) is a THIEF and should NOT be trusted to glidersit OR help in any glider railroads.
I have all the emails as proof of what I say.
Back in December 2004, I had a little joey I named Nickolas come oop on the same day as Peggy’s Dasher. They were our Christmas boys. These two boys “grew up” virtually here on GC. Peggy and I were constantly posting pictures of the boys as they grew and shared stories of how they were changing as they got older. This made both of these boys so very dear to me. Sadly, I lost my Nickolas on New Years Eve 2005 while in the parking lot of the vets office waiting on the vet to get there.
On March 24th 2005, I had a little girl come oop. I just KNEW it was going to be a little girl all along. Because Dasher was so special to me, because of all Peggy and I had shared with the two boys, I offered Dancer to Peggy to be Dasher’s mate. It was never a case that I didn’t WANT Dancer, it just seemed to be destiny that Dancer be with Dasher.
They were supposed to be “married” at the 2005 SGGA in Arkansas but due to airline changes, Peggy was unable to neither bring Dasher with her nor take Dancer back home with her to Texas. Still we continued with the plans of Dasher and Dancer being together.
After some time, we figured out a way to make it happen and Dancer went to live with Peggy. By this time, Dancer had been in my home for almost a year and I was very attached to her but all along, it was always, she is meant to be with Dasher. So, I let her go believing that if anything happened, Dancer would be coming back home to me (as it is with all the gliders that leave here, joeys or rescues).
Dasher and Dancer hit it off and began their life together. Peggy and I were both excited at the prospect of a little joey or two from this couple. However, Dasher made a big mating wound on Dancer and Peggy felt she had to separate them. While no one wants to separate bonded gliders, it was necessary for Dancer’s health and safety.
Peggy opened her store and one of her employees, Kali, had a little lone female glider and Dancer hit it off with her so Peggy let Dancer go live with Kali. I was in the hospital at the time and was not told any of this until later when I asked why Dancer was no longer one of the names in Peggy’s signature. I was very hurt and upset that Peggy had rehomed Dancer yet never felt the need to let me know. Although I was not happy about the situation, I agreed that Dancer needed to be with that other little female so she wasn’t alone. Peggy reassured me time and again that Kali was a great glider owner and Dancer was being well loved and spoiled.
In September, I got a pm from Peggy saying that I now had more reason to be upset with her. It seemed that Kali had listed all of her gliders on Craigslist. Peggy told me that she knew Kali would not return Dancer to her and suggested that I contact Kali and see if she would return Dancer to me. So, I sent Kali an email and explained how special Dancer is and always has been to me and that I would love for her to come back home to me. Kali agreed and we discussed how we would get Dancer back to Kansas.
Peggy was planning on coming to Linda’s get together on the 24th of Oct and said that if Kali would agree to it, she would take Dancer and foster her for me until she could bring her up here to Linda’s. Kali agreed to that as well and had her husband take Dancer to Peggy’s store.
I have been so excited and anxiously awaiting Dancer’s homecoming. I have a little girl here who has just healed from a mating wound that is the last joey from my original gliders, Dexter and Dixie. Dayla is also very special and I just know they would make great companions for each other.
However, Peggy has decided that I am not a fit glider owner. That I should not have gliders and has said she is giving Dancer to USMom. This just is not right. Dancer belongs with me, here in my home. She does not belong to Peggy nor USMom nor do either of them have the right to decide where MY glider should be. I was not asked about this, I was TOLD about it.
Now I’m not saying that Shawna (USMom) is a bad glider owner, not at all. But Dancer is not their glider. Dancer belongs here with me.
I have been preparing and planning on Dancer coming home since Sept 10th when I first emailed Kali. I have a new cage, cage sets and toys for the girls and Dayla needs a companion as much as Dancer does.
Dancer has always been very special to me and I feel like my glider has been stolen from me.

This is the thread with pictures taken of Dancer when Peggy first got her back. It is clear that Dancer is my glider and she is supposed to be coming home to me.

The following was emailed to me. At the person's request and to prevent them from being LGG's next target of attack, I am withholding the person's name. It is being posted here with permission of the author.
| Quote: | I have tried to stay out of this. However, I do feel that I need to play devil’s advocate and point out some things.
Dancer does not belong to Peggy at this time and is not hers to give away or keep. Dancer was given by Peggy to Kali who in turn gave Dancer to Teresa. There are correspondences verifying this agreement.
Peggy agreed to foster/babysitter Dancer until she could be railroaded to Teresa in KS. There are posts on the board where she states how pleased she is that Dancer will be returning home.
Peggy agreed to have Dancer railroaded to Teresa and had a say in who would do the railroading and when it would take place. There were several possible options and she had a say in which one she felt the most comfortable with. There are correspondences verifying this fact.
Approximately a week before the railroad was to take place Peggy chose to give Dancer to Shawna rather than sending her to Teresa as had been agreed. I believe the choice of not sending Dancer on her railroad is called breach of contract or breach of faith, and keeping her would be referred to as theft. Because, like it or not, gliders are considered property. When you take property that does not belong to you it is called stealing and a person who steals is often referred to as a thief. With this in mind Teresa was not out of line in calling Peggy a thief as Peggy did take property that was not hers.
Peggy claims she did this because Teresa is an unfit glider owner. So let’s look at that for a moment.
The ASPCA requires that an owner provide food, shelter and adequate vet care for an animal.
Teresa has recently upgraded all of her cages so she is providing adequate shelter. (Not that they were inadequate before, but Teresa wanted something nicer)
Teresa feeds her gliders daily, perhaps not a diet you would use, but they are getting adequate food.
If her gliders are sick they have been given vet care. You cannot prove that she has not taken her gliders to the vet when they are ill, as you do not have access to her vet’s records.
A necropsy is NOT required by the ASPCA in the event of an animal’s passing.
Therefore according to the ASPCA Teresa would be a fit pet owner.
In addition you claim that Teresa has proven herself to be unfit as a glider owner due to a post she made concerning the use of glue in making toys. Let’s take a look at it.
In the past Teresa has always advocated against the use of glue when making toys and has not previously used it, nor is planning to use it in the future.
However, vets have and are continuing to use glue on gliders during surgery and consider it safe to use. Therefore, since glue is safe to use during surgery and since surgical glue and super glue are virtually identical, she began to wonder if perhaps our assumptions in using glue during toy making might need to be re-evaluated.
Like it or not, it was a valid question. She did not mention names, or bash anyone’s vet for choosing to use glue. She did in fact not bring up specific vets until they had already been mentioned by other people.
Rather than bashing her for asking the question, the situation could have been resolved by simply stating that there is an added element in super glue that is toxic to gliders.
Once that was pointed out, she then asked if perhaps surgical glue could then be used. She was not advocating that it DO be used but only wondering if it would be another option for people.
Again, a valid question that she did not deserve to be bashed for, because many vets do use glue, (mine included), they do consider it safe to use on gliders, and the glue is in a place where gliders could ingest it.
Rather than bashing it again could have been resolved by CALMLY stating that the amounts needed in toy making could be toxic to gliders, therefore is should not be considered safe.
Instead she was berated, and abused by people she considered her friends all because she dared to ask if our assumptions on the use of glue in making toys might need to be re-evaluated.
If no one dares to ask questions about things that are considered “fact” in the glider world then many things that we accept now would be terribly wrong. For example…… we would not be letting our gliders have dairy products in the form of yogurt, cottage cheese or cheese, because until a few years ago it was a FACT that gliders were lactose intolerant.
A second post was then started with questions, and as she did not choose to answer them it was further proof of her unfitness. However it was painfully obvious that no matter WHAT she said your minds had already been made up. You had already judged and condemned her. Why then should she bother to say anything else? It would have been useless.
So given the FACTS this is what it boils down to.
Dancer belongs to Teresa not to Peggy.
Peggy was fostering her and had agreed to send her to Teresa via a railroad.
Based on unproven assumptions, Peggy chose instead to keep Dancer (who did not belong to her and was therefore stolen) and give her to a person she felt was a more worthy owner.
Therefore according to the law, Peggy is a thief and Shawna will be guilty of receiving stolen property.
Should Teresa chose to pursue the matter legally it could have serious consequences for Peggy's reputation as a glider foster parent and railroad volunteer as well as a businessperson. For, I can only wonder how the customers of her Pet Store would feel if they knew that the store owner was sued, arrested or otherwise accused of stealing animals if she felt that their owners were unworthy.
