|
|
Glider RailRoads were first started to help get a sick or injured rescued glider to those that were best able to care for them. It has since become a way to transport a glider to a new home with the least amount of stress.
The RRs are made up of volunteers that are willing to drive part of the distance and/or house the glider over night if the journey takes more then a day. Ideally, a RR should be of the length to be able to complete it within one day however, some can take up to 3 days to complete.
Each RR is coordinated before the trip ever begins.
No Cost RRs are restricted to rescue and emergency rehoming situations.
Glider Sitters, it's owners, admin and moderators are not responsible for any issues that develope with any RailRoad experience.
